Not a Real Post

Does everyone have a blog? Seems like it.

As you know, I’ve proclaimed not to be a writer, and I may have a blog, but I don’t call myself a blogger, either. Check it. Last time I posted was 10 days ago. That wouldn’t even qualify me as a columnist. I like to write, but only when I have something to say. And OH DO I HAVE STUFF TO SAY, but the really good, juicy stuff I cannot write here. Although, if you ask my friends, who get the unedited, unrated verbal blog, they will likely tell you that you’re not missing out on much.

OK, so everybody has a blog. In this age of the internets, everyone can speak their mind in a public forum. Don’t call yourself ‘a blogger’ though if you’re not doing it. Which is why I don’t. Call myself one, that is. Just so we’re clear.

However, I’m ruminating a post now, just to have a post, because even though I don’t call myself a blogger, I do have a blog, which gets hits daily even though I haven’t said anything in a while. I realize they’re probably led here via Twitter or from links on other blogs, but still. So I don’t want to seem like a slacker because it’s one of the qualities I can’t stand in the least.

I’m glad this is called Anything and Nothing, because I can write about anything. Although this post is nothing. But the next one won’t be.

And just so you know, I didn’t look up ‘ruminate’ before writing it, a small victory over my OCD. I’m going to check it forthwith, though. Hope I used it correctly.

  1. Hilarious post. Don’t you just love kids. They are so honest and open. Thanks for brightening up my night (oh wait, it’s night – I should be asleep).
